Ora Piercing Studio was built in 2022 with a particular piercing experience in mind. When I was younger, I loved having piercings done. I saw them as accessories and loved the look - don't get me wrong, I wasn't into facial piercings like a lot of piercing fanatics but loved all kinds of ear piercings. I remember my first piercing in the chain store that does it with guns (let's not name them) and now I cringe at the thought of it. The whole experience was rubbish and my piercings failed - no surprise there!  I was also sat in the window like a monkey at a circus - I felt exposed and intimidated. 

         Several years later I found a local shop that did piercings - needle piercings. I had a tonne done - I don't think I have one single piercing still open from being pierced there.  The 'stereotypical' tattoo studio, dark and intimidating, which would lock the door of the treatment room. Anyways, I always remember being pierced with what I can only describe as plastic. Every piercing failed, aftercare would be pants and zero help afterwards. Shortly after all of these attempts I stopped having piercings for about 8 years. 

         I soon found earrings and piercings interesting again. I got pierced in better studios with jewellery that was made for body piercing. I found a love for earrings and styling ears and shortly after this, my career as a body piercer started to flower. I still had my past experiences in mind and I wanted to create somewhere that educated clients on jewellery, safe piercing experience, mixed with a safe, bright and happy space. 

            I also think it is really important that you have piercings that make you feel, more you. I am not covered in piercings as most people expect me to be. However, what I have and what I continue to build makes me feel like me. I hope that by having the piercings that you choose, you feel more like you. Having piercings is a way of expressing yourself and I hope that I can help you on that journey. 

         With the knowledge I have and will always continue to build upon, I hope that past, present and future clients can learn something about having safe piercings. I am always learning, adapting and moving in order to pass this information forward. I am working towards being fully disposable but eco-friendly. Being fully disposable means that there is no chance of any cross contamination and everything is sterilised before being delivered to the studio.
